FLIR MD Series Compact Marine Thermal Cameras

Price range: 4.000,00 € through 5.650,00 €

The FLIR MD Series gives you fixed-view marine thermal imaging in a compact, low-profile housing built for tight installs and smaller vessels. These cameras do not pan or tilt mechanically, which keeps them small, simple, and affordable while still delivering the marine-grade thermal night vision you need to spot unlit boats, markers, and debris after dark. The high-resolution MD625 leads the line with a 640×480 sensor, while the MD324 offers a more accessible 320 resolution. Both are salt-spray-rated fixed-mount marine thermal cameras that stream straight to your chartplotter, and our units ship ONVIF-ready for Garmin, Simrad, and Raymarine displays. If pan and tilt are more than you need, the MD Series is the clean, compact way to add thermal to your boat.

FLIR MD Series: compact thermal for tight installs

Not every boat needs a pan-and-tilt turret. The MD Series delivers a fixed, forward-looking thermal view in a housing small enough to fit where a full turret will not, which makes it ideal for smaller vessels, tender boats, and secondary mounts. You lose mechanical panning, but you keep the core benefit: a clear thermal image of the water ahead, streamed to your display, in total darkness.

MD625 vs MD324

The MD625 carries a high-resolution 640×480 thermal sensor, so it sees smaller contacts further out and gives a sharper picture, the pick for a primary compact install. The MD324 uses a 320 sensor at a lower price, a sensible choice for a secondary camera or a smaller budget. Both cover the water directly ahead, where most night-navigation hazards appear.

Fixed or pan-and-tilt?

If you run offshore or want to actively track a contact, step up to a FLIR M-Series pan-tilt camera with stabilization. If you primarily want forward thermal vision for docking and inshore running, the MD Series provides the same functionality for less cost and in a smaller package. Keep a handheld FLIR Ocean Scout Pro on board for man-overboard searches either way.
