These binoculars are my first purchase in the thermal optics game. With my limited knowledge and experience I am thoroughly impressed with the capabilities they offer. The thermal resolution is only 256 but I can easily differentiate deer (mule deer / whitetail)out to about 250 yds. The IR mode is crystal clear and easily accessible with the control buttons. Digital optic mode is very good but does get pixilated at higher magnification. I use these binos in combination with my Wraith IR scope mounted on a 10/22 to take out unwanted varmints. The battery life is awesome and scanning in thermal mode extends the short life of the batteries in the Wraith. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of these binoculars and can’t wait to get out after coyotes this fall.
